The Director Americas Strategy will develop/execute long-term strategic plans for the Americas producer business units (PBUs) - Sustaining current business and seeking out new growth opportunities.

 

This position will engage/align with Americas PBU teams around a vision and strategy - Motivating them to promote and lead through transformational change.

 

The incumbent will coordinate, engage and align all parts of the America's organizations to connect/understand the impact of strategic decisions on a broader scale.

 

He/She must act as leader who drives innovation, change and long-term strategic vision throughout the organization in the development/deployment of best-in-class practices. This role will lead/own all strategic projects for the America's PBUs

 

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Define/Align the business strategy - Delivering financial results through all cycles of the Americas PBUs.
  • Identify/Leverage synergies across the America's businesses (internally/externally) and drive seamless interactions between the teams.
  • Develop/Build sales capabilities for America's PBUs. Drive best-in-class business processes to advance the America's PBUs and financial results.
  • Lead the America's businesses in its future direction as a culmination of the above strategies, technologies and restructuring.
  • Drive alignment of RVCC (requirement versus capacity and capability) and P&L (profit and loss) processes to long-term business strategy.

 

KEY EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA is preferred.
  • 12 or more years of experience that ranges across businesses and functions with direct and indirect authority
  • Experience managing a P&L
  • Relevant industry experience in a complex/global (business-to-business [B2B]/tire industry) organization with diverse product lines

  • Ability to engage/motivate people at all levels to forward thinking action
