Quality Engineer

The opportunity

We are looking for Quality Engineer to join our team in Luxembourg. On this position you will :

• Partnership in the design of tire prototypes and release of new technology initiated by Goodyear Innovation Center.
• Perform the New Product Industrialization activities for technology development.
• Identify the process gaps of each development project for each manufacturing process step and report to the stakeholder gate review. 
• Adapt the manufacturing capability of prototypes and the CAPEX investment plan of IPL to meet the future needs of the Company.
• Participate to the review committee of prototyping, analyze the inspection reports and take action to improve the quality of the new technology.
• Develop the machine setup such as strip lamination contour to deliver on quality the prototypes
   

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, all experimental builds and document lessons learned.
• Maintain and develop technical expertise in Green tire technology and Gear pump technology.
• Participate to Review committee. Analyze visual, FV, Xray, Shearo results.
• Analyze, solve problems and implement improvements for issues related to product and/or service quality.
• Lead RCA and Lesson Learned for Quality issues. 
• Act as NPI Engineer for the remaining LVTP codes.
• Improve manufacturing yield of the LVTP codes
• Ensure technical coaching to the Quality Technicians and Operation Technician.
• Ensure product quality compliance to all Goodyear requirements, procedures and specifications.
• Supporting control plans update and PFMEA creation for new IPL processes.
• Management of Internal Quality documents of GQMTS.
• Perform MSA -Measurement System Analysis- in Minitab.
• Follow-up of 8D system, counter measure to put in place.
• Provide support to sister plants or Regional quality in the fields of expertise.

To join our team you will need :

Education :

The candidate should have a Bachelor or Related Experience in Tire Manufacturing Quality (a Master is preferred).

Experience :

• 3 years experience in tire engineering or NPI
• Experience in tire manufacturing would be an asset

Knowledges & Skills :

• Problem solving, analytical skills
• Extensive Knowledge of tire design and green tire technology
• Knoweldge of Gear pump technology
• Good Communication skills (French & English required)
