Project Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Ensure safety, environmental, quality requirements and other regulatory compliances by working with appropriate associates on Environmental Health and Service, following the implementation of mandatory safety release, and continually improving the communication across all relevant departments.

• Prepare cost estimates, financially justify project, prepare budgets, review design, supervise installation and commissioning.  Research new equipment, systems, and processes to advance plant operations.

• Provides technical expertise for plant process sustainability and improvement, service agreements, contract service orders and permitting.  Actively participate on plant breakdown maintenance by:  supplying technical support, participating/leading root cause failure analysis, and creates an engineering solution to eliminate repetitive problems.

• Facilitate contractor management and enforce accountability on process and periodically audit contractor’s work to ensure that safe work practices, and standard operating procedures are followed.

• Maintain drawing and documentation system, regular audit  for compliance. Drive continuous improvement projects, and practice reliability excellence principles. Drive culture of zero leaks and identify projects related to conservation of energy.

 

Requirements:

• BS - Electrical Engineering/ Mechatronic Engineering.

• Minimum of three years engineering / maintenance management in an industrial environment.  Experience in working with multidisciplinary technical associates to achieve cost effective goals.  If electrical engineer: equipment design experience, along with project engineering or project management role is preferred. Programming experience on Visual Basic, C++ , PLC, HMI programming any other software development environment. If Mechanical  engineer: equipment design experience, along with project engineering or project management role is preferred. Programming experience on 3-D modeling ( AutoCAD, Solid works or Pro E).

• Requires the ability to direct cross-functional work groups to achieve Operations Center and Facility equipment operational objectives, goals and timeline. 

• Computerized layout, spreadsheet and database management. 

• Requires strong communication, business, technical, analytical and planning skills. 

• Ability to understand plant layouts, capital estimating, associate-man computations, tire cost structure, manufacturing equipment processes. 

• Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills.
