Algorithm Development Engineer. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Akron, OH.  Support technical development of tire information systems.  Design, implement, & optimize core algorithms for next generation tire/vehicle sensors.  Take complex algorithms from proof of concept all the way to fully formed product.  Coordinate technology scouting activities in the areas of sensors, edge processing, IoT.  Domestic travel up to 25%.

Need MS degree (or foreign equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Statistics or similar quantitative field of study. Need 2 yrs. exp. as Algorithm Development Engineer, Data Analytic Intern, or Graduate Research/Teaching Assistant working with automotive or tire applications. Need 2 yrs. of experience in each of the following:  working with MATLAB Simulink; applying control theory and vehicle dynamic principles; and working with big data analysis tools.  Experience can be concurrent & gained before, concurrent with, or after MS degree attainment.
