Primary Purpose of the Position

This is an exciting time for the company owned stores team at Goodyear as we look to build and grow our Company owned and operated stores.   As part of this retail transformation, we are seeking a marketing professional with brand marketing experience to join our team.

Brand identity is critical in today’s competitive marketplace.  We are looking for a Brand Manager to become the ambassador of our Brand - with a track record of creating a lasting brand impression among consumers while improving product/service sales and market share.  The Brand Manager will report to the Retail Marketing Manager and work closely with the Goodyear Brand, digital, field, research and external agency partners.  The Brand Manager will lead many high-profile initiatives, including the following:

  • Stores Brand identity - Goodyear Auto Service (GAS) and Just Tires (JT)
  • The end to end consumer experience
  • Evolution, rollout and continued focus on the Retail value proposition
  • Consumer research and insights integration
  • Brand Guidelines and assets
  • Brand / experience training

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Act as the brand “gatekeeper” for the Retail Store brands, insuring consistent and on-brand execution across all brand touchpoints: offline, online and in store; work with Consumer Research to fully understand and leverage research in shaping the growth and evolution of the brand; analyze how the Retail Brands are positioned in the marketplace and arm the team with competitive and industry assessments; develop brand guidelines for Retail Store brands and ensure that proper distribution and training is available for internal and external stakeholders.

Identify and continually evolve a best in class consumer experience

Lead creative development and create motivating communications to target segments

Roll-out of the new Value Proposition system wide

Uncover and bring to life consumer facing brand stories to further the brand narrative

Develop new and innovative growth strategies

 

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Liberal Arts, Marketing or related field)

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing or advertising
  • Strong brand management experience (client side) and/or Agency experience
  • Proven experience working within the full marketing mix (e.g. traditional and digital)
  • Experience working with target audiences and market research

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • 5+ years of relevant brand building experience
  • Brand coordination and visual brand identity
  • Highly creative and well organized
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated team player
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
