The Business Analyst - Commercial Tire and Service Center Operations is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of strategic pricing, promotion and, inventory plans for a portfolio of roughly 250 company owned Commercial Tire and Service Center (CTSC) locations. This position is responsible to grow Goodyear volume, revenue, profit, and market share for the entire Commercial portfolio. The incumbent will conduct analysis and leverage statistical modeling to develop plans, proforma financial assessments, and post analysis of all programs to grow Goodyear volume, revenue, profit and market share. This role will work directly with the Senior Manager of Operations or the Senior Manager of Category Insights and Analysis in support of strategic decisions regarding business design and development.
Primary Responsibilities #LI-AV1
- Develop strategic pricing plans for the Tire and Service category - Supporting the annual operating plan (AOP) for the entire CTSC Commercial portfolio. Partner with Category Planners (within the North America [NA] Commercial/Consumer Category teams) and Advanced Analytics Managers (for tires/services) in the development of strategic plans. Develop regular reporting of business performance for the entire portfolio of CTSC locations. Lead the continuous improvement effort for reporting speed, accuracy, and auto-generation capability.
- Conduct analysis of inventory stock demands and develop/manage network inventory stocking solutions for the Tire and Service Category (within the CTSC Portfolio). Execute customer-focused initiatives that deliver performance improvements to the CTSC network.
- Develop strategic promotional plans across the network (including event duration, execution details for the entire portfolio of CTSC locations, and work with Commercial Marketing to ensure effective communication of plans [once defined]). Partner with the Advanced Analytics team in the development of tools (to conduct robust post-hoc assessment of events and model advanced quantitative methods to measure the return on investment (ROI) of future network promotional efforts).
- Provide expertise in pricing, promotion planning, inventory management, and reporting.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Communications, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics/Statistics or Psychology/Sociology/Social Science
- 5 or more years of experience managing, planning, and providing analysis for a business portfolio, category, or brand
- Experience in conducting, planning and analysis of business drivers (including pricing, promotion, inventory and assortment) to help a business achieve its goals
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Masters degree in Business, Communications, Economics, Marketing, Mathematics/Statistics or Psychology/Sociology/Social Science
- Sound business acumen and experience in developing strategy/business-driving recommendations
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills - Strong ability to present to various group sizes
- Ability to work well with others and participate in multi-functional work
- Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Work experience and/or coursework with statistical significance (testing)
