Business Analyst / Digital Transformation

Position Description:

Goodyear is seeking a Business Analyst in support of Digital Transformation to join our Shared Services automation / robotics/continuous improvement program. This role  will be responsible for a growing portfolio of process improvement, robotics automation, and digital transformation initiatives. Working closely with business partners (operations teams and IT developers), you will lead projects through to a successful implementation. The Digital Transformation Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing processes, gathering requirements (including partnering with process owners), preparing documentation, determining best solution, tracking progress, partnering with developers, coordinating testing, communicating status, raising issues/concerns, through to “go live”.


Principal Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of all tasks necessary to complete an automation/RPA implementation leveraging digital technology from ideation through go live. This includes identifying an automation/RPA opportunity (including idea generation with GBS functional teams and non-GBS business partners), analyzing processes, gathering requirements (including partnering with process owners), preparing & submitting documentation, determining best solution, tracking progress, partnering with developers during build, coordinating testing, communicating status, raising issues/concerns, and closing the project
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives for ideas/processes that are not yet prepared for automation (i.e. still require simplification and/or standardization) by partnering with CI Leads, aiding CI/RPA Promoters, and guiding functional partners through the CI process.
  • Support GBS and Goodyear's continued advancement and adoption of digital transformation tools, processes, and systems in an effort to improve the efficiency, value and innovation capability of our organization. This includes researching and testing new digital functionality and partnering with key team members and internal customers to fundamentally transform how we operate.


Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors’ degree
  • 5+ years’ experience of working in Technology, Finance or Consulting environment
  • Experience with process and systems development life cycle and leading projects and/or improvement initiatives (project management certification preferred)
  • Exposure to performance measurement, continuous improvement, process design (lean six sigma or other process improvement certification preferred)
  • Ability to work independently or in groups as the lead participant


Personal Skills/Attributes/and Qualifications Desired:

  • Masters’ Degree (MBA), Project management qualification (PMO), Process design / CI qualification (LEAN
  • Strong project and change management skills, familiarity with project management approaches and tools
  • Strong team, interpersonal and communication skills to effectively communicate and build relationships with stakeholders, process teams, leadership and third parties; works with a sense of urgency
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in a busy and dynamic environment with competing priorities
