About the Position
Under the guidance of the Director, Global Business Continuity (BC), assist the global and regional Goodyear's BC teams in the implementation of all activities related to attaining excellence in operational resilience. Included are all activities regarding planning for, responding to, recovering from, and continuously improving upon global and regional incidents, crises, and BC events.

• Strategy: Supporting all business continuity and operational risk activities - Align with global BC Director and regional BC Managers on the most effective means to implement strategic deployment related activities. 
• Implementation: Execute the most practical global regional risk and business continuity strategies - Aligned with present/escalating business risks/requirements in all manufacturing and non-manufacturing locations. 
• Awareness: Support an effective, operationally resilient and business continuity culture.
• Alignment and Synergies: Align with corporate/regional business continuity risk-based framework (as approved by operational leadership)

Responsibilities

• Overall coordination of Business Continuity software (FUSION Risk Assessments, Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity Plans), including training, process improvement and team engagement. Includes creating training documents, training team members, creating and maintaining distribution lists, monitoring completion status, providing appropriate support, and summarizing results. Provide updates to gaps in the upcoming cycle and maintaining the documents ready at all times for use and distribution. Prepare all documents enabling Goodyear Business Continuity to create exceptional shareholder value while operating under adverse conditions with internal and external teams as required.
• Lead the department in SharePoint support, administration, and application development, update of documents, etc. so that it remains technically current and forward looking at all times. Transfer knowledge of Business Continuity activities, action plans, communications, training, maintenance of the process, analyses and planning tools and tie them to focal points regarding our associates, partners, customers, facilities, and business operations. 
• Responsible for attending meetings and documenting activities as well as providing ongoing updates to leadership on forward planning to ensure closure of Action Items. Identified as backup to Director, Global Business Continuity with decision making authority on the Director's behalf when requested.
• Prepare and implement Major Incident, Business Continuity event support activities including facility, region, and global based events. Included are all activities related to major incident notification, management, appropriate workstream development, training, gap analysis and process improvement. Includes potential for travel to all Goodyear global regions to develop effective relationships with internal and external support teams.
• Responsible for effective implementation of annual Business Continuity Calendar based activities. Included are:
• Internal benchmarking and Audit of manufacturing and non-manufacturing locations (Business Continuity Excellence).
• Training of team members in technical activities as well as in development of appropriate skills and competencies.
• Business Continuity Scorecard documentation and support; and 
• Business Continuity Tabletop Exercise development, implementation, and analysis to validate planning and promote continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

• 8 or more years of experience in successful implementation of business continuity related programs in a global organization with multiple business units, complex business structures and diverse production, logistics and retail processes
• 5 or more years extensive experience in use of Microsoft tools, including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, WORD, Forms, etc.
• 5 or more years of experience in using BC software (ex: FUSION Risk Management)
• Ability to understand and assist in applying operational resilience strategies

Skills and Abilities

• View/Understand complex and conflicting information regarding business continuity process components
• Implement into an easy-to-understand format/workstreams for all team members
• Influence others (not direct reports) through communication of vision, mission, objectives, and strategies  
• Maintain absolute integrity while managing sensitive/confidential matters
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
• Work well under minimal supervision
