Commercial Sales Development Program Description:

The Commercial Sales Development Program is a one-year structured training program that is designed to prepare participants for a successful sales career within our Commercial business. Participants will rotate through 4 hands-on sales and operations assignments that are designed to help them build a strong foundational knowledge of the dynamic commercial business-to-business technical sales environment. You will work with customers ranging from end users to some of the largest commercial trucking fleets in the nation. You will learn how to sell our industry leading portfolio of products and business solutions to these customers. This training program can lead to future career opportunities at Goodyear in more advanced sales roles, in sales leadership, and in other career paths including operations leadership and general management.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversight of sales and service to your dedicated accounts including safe and efficient delivery of quality services that exceed customer expectations.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of products and services to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Attend sales training and continually work to improve sales skills.
  • Implement marketing programs to solicit new clients through cold calls, organizations, referrals, etc.
  • Conduct fleet need evaluations and provide customers with cost analysis and benefits.
  • Assist with a variety of duties within the assigned location, such as attending to customers, maintaining inventory, and other duties as required.

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field required for this program
  • Minimum 3.0 overall GPA required
  • Must be willing to relocate and travel
  • Prior sales internship experience or the ability to walk through a consultative selling approach
  • Experience successfully working as part of a team as well as individually to drive results
  • Must possess ability to analyze data and identify problems and propose solutions or alternatives.
