Primary Purpose of Position:

The Content and Channels Specialist is responsible for creating compelling content across all channels in the Americas manufacturing facilities. This position reports to the manager, Americas Operations and Functions and works at the direction of the plant cluster communications leads to draft and publish articles, signage, and other content for use in plant communications channels.   

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support a high-impact internal communications plan across the Americas, collaborating across the organization to deliver clear and relevant communications that contribute to associate engagement.
  • Serve as the communications lead for the Americas non-wired facilities, participating as a member on the plant communication calls and identifying communication needs.
  • Conduct interviews and draft content for plant channels (including mobile app, newsletters, digital signs, posters, etc)
  • Support plant community outreach activities.

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a relevant field

 

Experience:

  • 1 or more years of experience in Communications, Public Relations or Journalism in a large corporation
  • Experience in development/implementation of creative communication strategies - Finding and securing positive internal/external stories that support business growth
  • Experience collaborating with and providing direction to other communications professionals, in order to reach all applicable stakeholders  

 

Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal/written)
  • Ability to execute tactics within a strategic framework
  • Affinity for creative and non-traditional communication platforms (including social networks)
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment with multiple clients
  • Ability to identify communication, learning and process gaps and provide subsequent solutions and recommendations
  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments
  • Must be able to multitask
