Customer Service Representative (Aviation)

Primary Purpose of the Position:
•    The Customer Service Representative provides sales service support and compliance with contractual obligations for Aviation customers in the Americas.
•    This position will interact with customers and internal Goodyear departments (Credit, Billing, Tire Production Planning) to resolve customer issues/concerns.  
•    The incumbent will assist Marketing and Sales organizations (in the Americas) with price quotations, price list administration, requests for literature, product availability, reports, records, maintenance and related service/support programs.
•    In addition, the associate performs telemarketing and inside sales for specific accounts.

 

Principle duties and responsibilities:
•    Customer satisfaction, through effective/direct communication and problem resolution with Goodyear Aviation Tire customers (including original equipment [OE] customers, Goodyear sales associates and other internal Goodyear customers).
•    Precise, accurate and timely entry of routine/non-routine customer orders - In conformance with pricing, credit and sales policies. Maximize sales revenue through effective telemarketing to specified customers.
•    Effective management of all contracts to ensure mutual compliance.
•    Manage customer inquiries, complaints and requests for information (RFI). Return quotations in timely manner. Liaison between internal Goodyear resources (such as Sales, Manufacturing, Credit, Purchasing, Legal, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Supply/Logistics and Management) and the customer functional group.

 

Education:
High School Diploma

 

Experience:
•    5 or more years of experience working in a position(s) that have cross-functional interface with internal/external customers - Handling a wide-range of responsibilities in the areas of Aviation tire operations, customer service or problem-solving
•    Must possess extremely strong customer service skills

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  
•    Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously and meet required deadlines/objectives
•    Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate through oral/written methods 
•    Self-starter that requires minimal supervision
•    Detail-oriented, patient, and able to work closely with others
•    Basic computer skills and knowledge/use of SAP, Microsoft Office 365 Suite
•    Experience with Vendavo and RTS (Transportation Management System) - Desired
