About the Position

The Data Analyst is responsible for finding answers to business questions utilizing our database and customer information through analysis, modeling and statistics. The Data Analyst gathers, reviews, analyzes, and evaluates data, business processes and operational objectives, to define solutions that support business strategies as well as make recommendations for improvement. Additionally, this role will design and create reports and data visualizations while partnering with Operations (Akron, Manila and Bucharest), Regional Analysts, and IT to build and maintain a data hub that will support global common metrics.



  • Find analytical answers to overall business-related shared services concerns from why our cost per transaction in Accounts Payable spike in a particular month, why is our payroll accuracy rate trending downward, analyze functional or regional trends, etc.   provide insight into findings with recommendations. Execute metrics/analytics project tasks according to plan, define, build and design requirements for Global Business Services (GBS) info hub data streams, helping to ensure test plans are sufficient and implementation meets expectations.
  • Responsible for maintaining GBS analytics data hub, updating activity taxonomies by team/function ensuring proper customer company codes and countries, updating metrics and analytics blueprint and data definitions. Provide analysis and recommendations based on findings
  • Ensure all BI/metrics/analytics related desktop procedures are accurate and up to date. Complete various administrative tasks associated with metrics, data management and business analytics, with a focus on process improvement.
  • Assists GBS BI Manager in ensuring GBS metrics are flexible and effective and that all data insights are transparent to leadership while adhering to all necessary security and privacy policies and best practices.  


Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors’ degree in computer science, math, statistics, finance or business.
  • Masters’ degree in computer science, math, statistics, finance or business preferred
  • 1+ year of experience with business intelligence/data visualization tools is preferred such as; SQL, Tableau, Cognos, Power BI, Domo, Qlikview.
  • Experience with SAP (Business Warehouse) preferred.
  • Experience with database management systems and/or data warehousing is preferred
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills with experience identifying key issues through fact-based analysis.


Additional Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of information systems is required, preferred knowledge of multi-system integrations, data connections & interfacing
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High degree of integrity
  • Deliver results in a time bound manner
  • Advanced Excel skills, including data manipulation (vlookup, if statements), summary functions (pivot tables), etc.
