About the Position
The DevOps Engineer will join our growing R&D Global team to support virtual product development using, DevOps, AWS, and data integration. You will work with approved specifications and use analysis, investigation, objectivity and creativity to solve problems as well and learn and grow your technical skills. Working with a team who are creating and refining links between tire design and vehicle performance using machine learning and cloud-based solutions will be the focus as well as fixing software issues, delivering service requests, providing incident coverage, and deploying software releases.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain python-based frameworks, tools and support machine learning operations. Develop and optimize python-based pipelines and workflows for data ingestion, processing, transformation, and integration from various sources and formats. Leverage devops and ensure the reliability, security, and performance of cloud infrastructure and services.
- Perform troubleshooting and investigation activities as it relates to technology incidents/outages/bugs.
- Investigate and report on latest information technologies, techniques and processes that could digitally enable business strategies. Increase breadth and depth of technical knowledge by expanding knowledge base.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in IT or a related discipline.
- 3 or more years of experience in Information Technology
Desired Skills and Abilities
- Some experience in Python programming, scripting, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) would be ideal.
- Experience working with DevOps concepts and CD/CI pipeline. (Jenkins, Github among others)
- Experience in working with data engineering tools and technologies such as SQL, ETL, would be nice to have.
