About the Position
The Analyst will support Goodyear’s Digital Quality strategy performing Advanced Data analysis, big data/Industry 4.0 tool development and industrialization (including training on Braincube and other Big Data/Industry 4.0 tools.
The Digital Quality Strategy has 3 workstreams:
1. Prescriptive Process Control - This workstream builds Digital Twins and uses Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to build autonomous technologies that improve process consistency of all of our core tire manufacturing processes with the intent of closing our 4% gap to our Bold Goal of 90% As Produced Yield by 2027. 4% Uniformity Yield improvement globally is worth $35 MM in EBIT annually. This position would perform the big data analysis to optimize of processes while training our associates to leverage the digital twins and autonomous technologies.
2. Digitally Enabled Quality Assurance - Building/developing/industrializing digital solutions to now manual systems such as Cured Tire inspection, splice control and First tire checks. This position would work on projects to realize these technologies
3. Future of Quality Work - enabling operators and plants to run autonomously by developing/industrializing new the technologies of a paperless and autonomous factory. Training organizations to utilize these technologies.
Overall Quality Assurance and Process Control will become more efficient, effective, and reliable through digitization.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of Braincube and other Data Digital Twins to build rules and set foundation for Core Process Predictive Models
- Development/Evaluation of Big Data/ Industry 4.0 apps for potential industrialization in tire plants
- Industrialization of Data Digital Twins in tire plants including training of plant associate
- Building customized HMI screen using Braincube Studio and Braincube Forms that are integrated with Data Digital Twins
- Evaluation of other vendors of Industry 4.0 capability
Education and Experience
- Bachelors in STEM degree
- 2+ years in digital experience (Industry 4.0 and/or Big Data)
- 2-3 years manufacturing experience
Knowledge and Skills
- Working Knowledge of Braincube
- Working knowledge of other Big Data or Ind 4.0 tools such as Minitab, SeeQ and Poka
- Working Knowledge of Data Architecture
- Working Knowledge of OT systems
