Director, Retail Media
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director, Retail Media to support Goodyear and Cooper Brands’ retail media strategy across key accounts and shopper marketing initiatives. This role will focus on driving awareness, consideration, and profitable growth through strategic media campaigns, shopper marketing programs, and partnerships with key retail customers (e.g., Walmart, Amazon, etc.). The Director will lead a team of 6 direct reports, overseeing the planning, execution, and optimization of media efforts within the retail media landscape, including Company-Owned stores and Goodyear.com. The position will ensure alignment with broader business objectives while delivering impactful, high-performance retail media and shopper marketing programs.
Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Retail Media Execution: Lead the execution of retail media strategies for key accounts (e.g., Walmart, Amazon) and digital retail platforms, including Company-Owned stores and Goodyear.com, ensuring alignment with the broader media strategy and overall business goals.
- Key Account Management: Manage day-to-day relationships with key retail partners (e.g. Discount Tire), identifying opportunities for joint marketing initiatives that drive sales, improve visibility, and meet retail growth targets.
- Media Campaign Optimization: Oversee the execution and optimization of media campaigns within retail channels, managing performance metrics and ensuring campaigns meet or exceed expectations in terms of ROI, awareness, and conversion.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of 6 direct reports, providing coaching, support, and development opportunities to ensure a high-performing, collaborative, and results-driven team.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the marketing, creative, sales, and analytics teams, to develop integrated campaigns that support both brand objectives and retail goals.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Track and analyze campaign performance, providing detailed reports and insights on KPIs, including media spend, sales, and ROI. Leverage insights to drive optimization and refine future strategies.
- Budget Oversight: Support budget management for retail media activities, ensuring cost-effective allocation of resources and effective use of funds to drive growth and achieve business objectives.
- Innovation & Shopper Insights: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging shopper behaviors to inform the development of innovative media strategies that deliver results. Utilize shopper insights to personalize campaigns and optimize retail marketing efforts.
- Program Development: Oversee the development and execution of retail media programs aimed at driving profitable volume and sales for Goodyear and Cooper Brands, ensuring alignment with overall retail and brand objectives.
KEY EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in retail media, shopper marketing, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing media strategies for key accounts and large-scale brands.
- Strong understanding of retail media platforms such as Walmart.com, Amazon, and other digital retail channels, including Company-Owned stores and Goodyear.com.
- Experience managing a team, with demonstrated leadership and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage relationships with both internal teams and external retail partners.
- Proven ability to optimize media spend and deliver measurable business results across retail channels.
- Experience managing budgets and working with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated media strategies.
