Engineer Staff. The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. Akron, OH.  Supporting the Non-Pneumatic Tire (NPT) and Tire Intelligence group, foster through Design and Analysis, the acceleration of robust lightweight NPT architectures, and close the technology readiness gaps in both performance and manufacture of such.  Use advanced 3D design tools and predictive analysis to generate robust solutions for product design challenges.  Participate in the design, development, and industrialization of tire engineering projects (applied and fundamental) which result in new commercial tire products, processes, and technologies.

Need BS degree (or foreign equiv.) in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related.  

Need 5 yrs. post-graduate, progressive exp. as Design Engineer, Product Engineer or related role supporting Advance concept product design and analysis for the automotive industry. Need 5 yrs. exp. with Advance concept product design and Analysis. Need 5 yrs. exp. with new process set up, documentation, implementation in design tool software in manufacturing environment. Need 5 yrs. exp. with CATIA V5. Need 5 yrs. exp. with finite element analysis tools such as  Abaqus, Ansys , Patran, Cubit, & predictive analysis tools. Need 5 yrs.  supporting use of 3D automotive design tools manufacturing environment. Must be CATIA Certified Professional.
