Goodyear Tire Intelligence Solutions (GTIS) is the company's global tire intelligence technologies. With GTIS, data from a variety of on-vehicle sensors is sent to Goodyear’s mobility cloud in real time, where its unique, customizable algorithms indicate tire health, deliver performance insights over time and detect potential issues so operators can seek proactive maintenance. 

 

Goodyear Tire Intelligence Solutions (GTIS) includes a suite of products that work within the platform to enable seamless, safe and reliable movement for drivers, vehicles, operators, municipalities, original equipment manufacturers, and suppliers in order to make life’s connections easier. 

 

The Fleet Solutions Analyst - Tire Intelligence will be responsible for supporting the Senior Application Engineer - Tire Intelligence and working with the Engineering team in the development, testing, documentation creation, training tool development, validation, and deployment of tire intelligence applications plus hardware systems. 

 

The incumbent will develop the proposed solutions and work through the industrialization process to ensure they are ready for real-world application. The position involves hands-on work with vehicle systems, troubleshooting, document creation, and interfacing with business units to ensure the seamless integration of new technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct troubleshooting activities and diagnostic tests related to performance, durability, and safety of automotive components/tire intelligence applications 
  • Utilize analytical and problem solving skills to address mechanical challenges in a professional manner - Assist in the creation of technical documents and installation training tools 
  • Work closely with Engineering team resources to develop positive knowledge transfer relationships 
  • Maintain a continuous process improvement mentality and effectively communicate feedback to respective personnel
  • Assist Engineers in the design, development, and testing of automotive systems/components
  • Collaborate with the Senior Application Engineer - Tire Intelligence and utilize a general understanding of automotive related processes/standards 
  • Display a commitment to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and maintain a professional image/work environment 
  • Perform support roles in technology training
  • Support/assist with the creation of global standard installation manuals for wiring harnesses, brackets, and electronic modules 
  • Create quality documentation on any test results and provide detailed reports on system performance - Collect, decipher, and analyze data to make informed decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met
  • Operate as an ambassador of the GTIS department to internal and external entities 
  • Effectively coach and train others 
  • Maintain a train-the-trainer mentality to always be prepared to invest knowledge into internal and external customers

 

 

Required Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of degree, 5+ years of project management experience, including drafting technical documents
  • Previous project management experience, including drafting technical documents
  • Experience working with commercial vehicles in a fleet environment 
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Technician, preferably in the automotive industry
  • Experience in cross-functional assignments or projects
  • Ability to interpret and modify electrical schematics and wiring harnesses
