Full-Stack Developer

About the Position

In this Full-Stack Developer role, you will join the Global Technology Beyond Tires team. In this role you will work with other leading digital teams as a full stack developer to provide new applications and capabilities as well as maintain existing systems.  The primary areas this position will support are the Goodyear Race Division including the NASCAR race team, system integrations with dynamic vehicle simulators, and intelligent tire solutions.  You will engage with stakeholders, application architects and other developers to understand requirements/challenges and collaborate on effective cloud based solutions. You will be involved in all aspects of the development process, including user research, design, testing and deployment.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Developing and deploy background processes and APIs such as REST services.
  • Developing web applications using JavaScript libraries/frameworks such as React and Angular.
  • Developing desktop applications using C#/.NET.
  • Take part in design research and help identify design opportunities.
  • Make complex work processes feel intuitive and understandable for end users.
  • As needed, support and maintain existing applications including feature additions and bug fixes.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, MIS, or related experience.
  • 5+ years development experience using object-oriented languages such as C#/Java.
  • 2+ years web application development experience using a JavaScript framework.
  • In Lieu of degree, 10+ years's experience.
  • Cloud development with AWS or Azure a plus.

 

 Skills and Abilities

  • Experience with C#/.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.  Experience with Java and Python a plus.  
  • Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Servers.
  • Provide Agile work approach to all technical solutions.
