About the Position

 

This position, governs and improves global audit processes, ensures systems and tools necessary to mature critical elements of the EHS management system are in place, Supports the strategies and actions to improve EHS performance globally. Develops and manage project plans for Operations and Assurance teamwork. Collects and analyses data, drawing insights for actions and partnering with region and global EHS to on how to improve EHS performance. Develops Global EHS standards and practices to improve contractor safety and management systems. 
In this position, the incumbent will be a coach/mentor to junior associates.                                                 

 

Responsibilities

  • Improving, reporting, and governing audit processes. Identifying trends in audit results and providing guidance and recommendations on how to address and close common findings. 

  • Partner with global functions and regional leaders to develop systems and tool capability, and analysis necessessary to improve EHS system maturity globally. Act as a data and analysis expert for the regions and businesses.  

  • Develop Global EHS standards and interpret standards based on regional and local requirements and regulations

  • Mature contractor EHS screening processes and injury reporting.  Govern progress, report metrics, and partner with global and regional partners to improve the process.

  • Partner with module owners and system administrator to improve and govern the Audit Module in RIMS to meet global and regional needs                           

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or Engineering 

  • Master's Degree is preferred. Formal education in Information Technology or Statistics is a plus

  • 7 years of experience working in an EHS position.

  • Experience working with multiple facilities is critical.

  • Previous manufacturing experience at a site is preferred. International experience is a plus.

  • Experience developing, influencing and implementing strategy.

  • Experience in dealing with insurance providers

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to influence at all levels, from floor level through executive leaders.

  • Ability to work independently on both simple and complex projects.

  • Problem-solving is a must.

  • Skilled in understanding the business and how to partner
