About the Position

The Talent Segment Manager works collaboratively with HR Business Partners, Communities of Expertise (COEs) and stakeholders to seamlessly integrate learning and development programs, and organization effectiveness and talent solutions for critical targeted talent segments to

accelerate development and readiness of the talent pool. Acts as an agent of change to drive the successful deployment and adoption of the  enterprise-wide strategic talent solutions within the talent segment.

 

The Talent Segment Manager will provide deep subject matter expertise, innovative approaches, tools, program management and strategic consultation across all aspects of Learning and Development and Talent Management with a focus on Performance Management, Competency

Management, Talent Review, and Succession Planning. The Talent Segment Manager will bring new thinking to traditional problems and drive innovative, experiment-based improvements while also embedding principles of inclusion, diversity, and equity into all program practices.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement global talent segment programs in partnership with leadership & regional talent COEs. Initiate and manage executive coaching engagements and mentoring circles for targeted successors. Identify innovative and efficient solutions as the world shifts to a more virtually engaged learning community.
  • Drive developmental actions for targeted successors including the identification of new assignments/experiences to promote readiness.
  • Create and execute role specific talent strategies including selection, onboarding, performance, development and succession for the talent segment.
  • Provide end-to-end, high touch, global talent management support for critical talent segment to ensure 100% ready now successors, and 100% execution of succession plans. Analyze and prepare data to showcase success of the programs and initiatives.
  • Partners with HRBPs and leaders to operationalize and execute the Global Performance and Talent Planning Processes, including but not limited to succession planning, identification of high potential talent, assessments tools, and competency models.
  • Advise and assist HRBPs and business leaders on complex business challenges utilizing organization effectiveness principles, processes, and tools. Design and develop organizational development and change management tools to be leveraged by Business Leaders during times of significant organizational change

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree
  • MBA, Masters Degree in Organizational Development, IO Psychology or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a variety of disciplines including leadership development, OD, talent management.
  • Experience designing and implementing leadership development solutions and programs.
  • Experience in creating and driving talent strategies within large, global organizations preferred.
  • Experience balancing various stakeholder needs and facilitating aligned and relevant solutions for all involved.
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, prioritize and effectively manage multiple complex projects within a fast-paced environment.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Describe knowledge, skills and abilities required, including functional, technical and managerial
  • Highly advanced communication & influence capabilities
  • Knowledge of organizational development/effectiveness methods and tools (e.g. certification in MBTI, DiSC, GROW, etc.)
  • Must have the interpersonal & organizational savvy to deal with executive stakeholders
  • Knowledge of adult learning, instructional design and training delivery
  • Knowledge of succession planning and employee engagement methods and tools
