The primary purpose of this role is to develop, implement and manage the Talent Management strategy for Global Operations & Technology (GOT) organizations to solve he strategy comprises organizational effectiveness, performance management, workforce planning, learning & development, career planning, succession, leadership development, talent attraction & retention, employee engagement, among others. Partners with the Head of Human Resources, Global Operations and Technology in designing a high-performance organization by providing leadership & thought leadership on talent management, Global Human Resource strategy and programs. This role will lead, manage and implement Goodyear GOT organizational development and capability processes to drive and maximize the human capital needed to execute the business strategy and long-term vision. In addition, leads the development, implementation and execution of functional global talent development programs and initiatives that support critical talent segments identified through the organization's succession planning process.

Global Operations organization includes Engineering, EHS, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Supply Chain and Plant Optimization. Global Technology has Innovation Centers in Akron, Ohio and Colmar-Berg, Luxembourg developing state-of-the-art products and services that set the technology and performance standard for the industry and transforming product portfolio by leading cutting edge technological interventions and partnerships to create best in class products for the future.

 

Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Owns the development and implementation of the global talent management strategy for the Global Operations and Technology related to performance management, succession planning, talent assessment, change management, organization development along with development programs and offerings that align with the groups’ strategic talent segments.
  • Leads the development, implementation and execution of global talent development programs and initiatives that support critical talent segments identified through the organization's succession planning process.
  • Partners with Senior Leadership Team to ensure strategic objectives are constructed and program delivery objectives are met. Includes the development of KPIs and key metrics to ensure intended objectives of the developmental initiatives are achieved
  • Leads all activities around Organizational Design, Organizational Development, Talent Management strategies for Learning & Development and Corporate Functions
  • Leads/Partners with Human Resource colleagues within GOT and regional operations HR teams on the development, implementation, and execution of Global Talent Management initiatives

 Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business/HR required. MBA, MS - Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, Learning & Development, Human Resource Management or related field is preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years in human resources field, at least 7 of which are in progressively more responsible positions in related talent management positions
  • Certification in Coaching & tools for assessments, personal profile analysis
  • Experience in designing and implementing strategic talent management programs, and processes within a large, matrix-based organization. Ability/experience in working in a global environment
  • Demonstrated capability in strategic thinking, project management/planning, innovative thinking and influential leadership
  • Interpersonal Skills - Ability to work with peers and others who are not under their direct line of command and positively contribute and impact business performance
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively translate/convey strategic concepts to key stakeholders using influential leadership
  • Change Management - The ideal candidate should have the ability to assess cultural, organizational and process implications of needed changes and formulate alternatives for addressing the needs.
