Global Talent Management Lead

The Global Talent Management Lead researches best practice, evidence-based solutions to inform the design, approach, and improvements to global processes specific to talent planning, succession, workforce planning, and career development. This role manages the end-to-end Talent Planning process, including the design, development and methodology of processes, tools, and resources that promote Goodyear's ability to proactively build the right talent capabilities. The Global Talent Management Lead is also the owner of talent analytics (reporting, metrics, etc.) used to indicate health, inform action and track progress for succession decisions and the building of leadership pipeline.


Job Functions

  • Creates and deploys tools, training, resources and best practices to assess capabilities of talent and drive development actions that address gaps to build strong, diverse build pipeline
  • Creator and manager of reporting, analytics, and dashboards specific to talent; creates, maintains, interprets, and delivers analytics in a concise and integrated manner
  • Builder of internal organizational talent planning capability; accountable for developing tools, job aids, resources, hosting workshops, etc. that build internal capability in supporting and executing global talent planning
  • Maintains strong partnership with L&D, HRIS, D&I, and Talent Acquisition to develop solutions that embed and strengthen talent management processes to enable a talent focused culture that promotes development and career growth
  • Creates and manages programs/initiatives that support, build, and enrich Goodyear talent
  • Partners with Director of Integrated Talent Management to manage strategic workforce planning and proactively anticipate current/future talent needs for critical positions
  • Provides consultation and coaching to Talent Directors, HRBPs, Managers for all talent planning needs/inquiries
  • Contributes to and supports managing the global engagement survey


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, I/O psychology, organizational development, or related field.
  • 5 years experience and demonstrated success as a human resources professional
  • Direct experience leading talent management projects (performance management, succession planning, workforce planning, etc.)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in HR, I/O psychology, organizational development, or related field
  • Knowledge of Success Factors system (Performance, Goals, and Succession modules)
  • Experience leading talent activities in a global, matrixed organization



  • Strong leadership and project management abilities in talent management workstreams
  • Strong problem solving and attention to detail
  • Strong communication, presentation, coaching and facilitation skills
  • Skilled/comfort with data analysis and HR metrics; intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Excel
  • Consultative, collaborative, and customer focused with experience influencing leaders
  • Proven experience using analytics to tell a compelling the talent story to senior leaders
  • Can thrive in a complex and ambiguous environment
