Primary Purpose of Position:

The Human Resource Business Partner - America Operations will provide Human Resource (HR) generalist support/guidance to the Americas Operations Leaders, Managers and Associates. This position will collaborate with various levels/areas of the client groups to develop key HR/business initiatives.

The incumbent will lead the day-to-day HR functions, processes and initiatives (including employee relations, overseeing the early talent program, succession planning, talent acquisition, workforce planning/analytics, GTMS (global talent management system) and Workday. There is a broad component supporting the Latin America (LA) Sales and Tire Technology teams. The responsibilities will include talent management, annual incentive plan (AIP), engagement reporting and the on-going immigration support between international transfers, expatriates, inpatriates and temporary assignments.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer key HR programs/processes across Americas Operations. Interpret HR policies, procedures, laws and standards and explain them to new/existing associates - Guiding managers on policy issues. Lead HR projects (i.e., turnover reduction, on-boarding improvement, policy/procedure alignment and various others depending on changing business objectives). Create relevant reports and analyze key HR performance metrics, looking for actionable trends
  • Facilitate alignment with in-country HR across regional LA reporting structures on decisions/processes impacting associates (including annual incentive plan). Standardize/Improve practices for consistency throughout LA client groups. Partner closely with Global Mobility, HRIS (Human Resource Information System), Legal and regional counterparts to manage all expatriate/inpatriate activity
  • Lead the Supply Chain early talent programs (including development program, internships and other development initiatives). Assist in the development the next generation of leaders through strategic talent acquisition, competency building programs, succession planning, coaching and learning initiatives
  • Support organization recruitment needs (including position description development/updates, applicant tracking system utilization, interviewing, offer generation, transfers, etc). Facilitate the talent management process (including conducting calibration sessions, provide guidance to managers on how to deal with performance issues and succession planning)
  • Manage the associate pulse/engagement survey process (execution of survey, providing analysis, communications, action plans and follow-up). Help the business identify solutions to retention/engagement issues and coordinate resources to support improvement.

 

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or a related field

 

Experience:

  • 5 or more years of experience working in Human Resources - Responsible for a combination of talent acquisition, performance management, compensation administration, succession planning, employee relations, etc.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines (including, but not limited to: employee relations, diversity, performance management and federal/state respective employment laws)
