About the Position

 

 

This position will be based out of the Akron Headquarters, but will require regular travel to our Hebron location.

 

Program Leader - This position will be responsible for managing, leading, developing and facilitating various HR programs for the Global Ops function.  Developing, coordinating, executing and having visibility into the programs will allow this position to create a cohesive, seamless program strategy.  Examples of program responsibiities include, but are not limited to 1) co-op/intern program ownership and coordination, 2) recognition programs (BEYA/Step Ahead/Chairman's Award's, etc.), 3) engagement acivities (Listen-Learn-Lead, focus groups, mentoring circles), 4) facilitation of mission oriented org structure programs,  5) development and execution of a technical competency assessment, 6) support of development programs (GMLP/PMDP/QLDP), 7) develop and lead on-bording programs, 8) other programs yet to be identified.

 

HR Specialist - This position will lead and own key HR processes and initiatives in the support of the overall objectives of the Global Operations functions as well as on-stite support to the Chrome Development Center in Hebron, OH.  This position will support Chrome leadership in meeting key business objectives. Lead the communication of HR programs and drive resolution of employee relations issues with payroll, benefits and other employee programs. Support employee and organizational development initiatives, partner with HRM on developing reports and doing assigned work related to succession planning and workforce planning.  Lead various initiatives related to Talent Acquisition including creating requisitions, interviewing candidates, participating in de-brief sessions, create job offers and extend offers.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HR team, the Global Operations leaders  and the University Relations team in the management of Global Operations co-op/intern program, ensuring that the program is able to attract college students of the highest caliber and truly operates as a robust talent pipeline, in tandem with workforce needs and business strategy, considering our D&I strategy
  • Manage key initiatives and programs across Global Operations and CHROME aimed at improving and enhancing employee engagement. Including but not limited to external /industry professional awards programs e.g. STEP Ahead Awards, Woman of Color Award (WOCA), Black Engineer of the Year Award (BEYA) ,  internal recognition schemes such as GOT Awards and Chairman’s Awards.
  • Program manage key HR processes for Global Operations and CHROME, such as the performance alignment process, including performance alignment meetings scheduling, data and information management and generation of reports.  Develop and maintain dashboards and analysis tools.  Regularly report KPI's to HR and clients.
  • Partner with training coordinator and Talent COE in the coordination and scheduling of associate trainings such as IDP trainings, and annual trainings such as performance review, merit training as well as ad-hoc trainings such as Career Ladder and Promotions refreshers etc. Schedule and deliver new hire HR Orientation as needed, facilitate Mentoring Circles, focus group coordination and logistics.  Collaborate with HRBPs and business leaders to identify needs and react as required
  • Partner and collaborate with HRBPs, COE, Global Operations and CHROME leadership to develop the strategy for development of current and future programs.  Continuously analyze existing programs for effectiveness, efficiencies and intersections.

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor degree in human resources, business or related field
  • 4+ years of HR experience with responsibility for core HR processes
  • Experience in working with Global Teams (desired)
  • Experienced in managing Small Projects using Project Management Tools and Methods (desired) 
  • Experienced with designing, developing and conducting training/coaching sessions on HR Processes and Applications (desired)

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong Interpersonal, Organizational, Analytical, Presentation, Training Delivery and Critical Thinking Skills. Demonstrates initiative, innovation, flexibility, open-mindedness and adaptability to meet objectives in a rapidly changing environment (with shifting priorities). SharePoint (or equivalent CMS Systems)/Web Portal Content Design Skills (desired). Precise and detail oriented - Able to communicate key messages in a concise manner
