Primary Purpose:

Goodyear's Global Technology organization is responsible for delivering high-quality products and growing Goodyear's innovation capability globally. Goodyear's technical organization consists of 2,200 associates worldwide. Development work occurs in two Goodyear Innovation Centers, including Akron, Ohio and Luxembourg; with development centers in Hanau, Germany and Pulandian, China.

 

The Human Resources Specialist will drive key HR processes, programs and initiatives for assigned client groups, in support of the overall objectives of the Global Technology organization. The position will be responsible for partnering with the business and HR Centers of Excellence in driving world class HR strategies & systems around recruiting and selection, training, organizational development and change management, performance management, diversity & inclusion, workforce planning, talent review and succession planning, while maintaining positive associate relations & strong engagement. Additionally, the position will seek to promote Global Technology's vision, mission and values and build & sustain a collaborative, engaged work environment, characterized by employee involvement & participative management. The position will be responsible for managing initiatives aimed at enhancing the associate experience and in support of our drive to becoming a high-performance organization. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end to end transactional processes for assigned Global Technology client groups including creating requisitions, collaborating with Talent Acquisition on recruiting and selection activities, facilitating the onboarding process, partnering with appropriate team members on managing leaves of absence, provision of benefits information, provide advice and counsel to managers and employees to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures and practices. Ensure that employee relations issues are properly identified, reported, investigated & resolved.         
  • Manage key HR processes for assigned client groups such as talent reviews, performance management, workforce planning and succession planning, while partnering with the business optimize talent strategies/staffing levels and employee engagement                 
  • Develop and manage diversity and inclusion related programs and initiatives that contribute to the attraction and retention of a diverse workforce and the enhancement of an inclusive work environment 
  • Partner with the University Relations team in the management of Global Technology’s co-op/intern program, ensuring that the program is able to attract college students of the highest caliber and truly operates as a robust talent pipeline, in tandem with workforce needs and business strategy
  • Manage key initiatives and programs across Global Technology aimed at improving and enhancing employee engagement

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelors  degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field from an accredited university
  • 1- 3 years HR experience.
  • Experience managing  multiple projects from conception to completion in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience  working with employees  from different cultures  and backgrounds
  • Experience investigating, analyzing & solving a myriad of complex associate relations issues
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, EEO compliance, labor laws including FMLA, ADA etc
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, both written & verbal.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, collaborative and teamwork skills.
  • Highly developed business acumen along with strong MS Office suite skills.
  • Familiarity with immigration laws and the  global movement of employees
