Position Description:

The  Insights / Business Intelligence Analyst HRIS is a critical role on Goodyear's Insights Team.  Working closely with HR Business Partners, you will provide specialized reporting and analytics for internal customers including the Board of Directors, SLT, D&I, and HRLT.  This includes establishing, publishing, and maintaining analytics definitions and useful aids and educational tools for consumers of our insights.  These data analytic standards serve as the foundation driving dashboard creation in Tableau. The HRIS Data / Insights Analyst will utilize statistical modelling and proven analytic methods to identify and present insights, as well as develop tools using Tableau and SQL to allow HRBPs and Talent Managers to access key metrics for their business.  The HRIS Data / Insights Analyst will be responsible for producing and storing documentation of all analytics produced in support of BoD, SLT, and HRLT to allow for consistent replication of analytics in future periods.

 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Produce analytics in support of Board of Directors, SLT, HRLT, D&I through direct partnership with HR Mangers, Directors, and VPs.  Understanding the business problems, identifying insights, and impacting business outcomes through data driven action. Maintaining traceability of all analytics produced for Executive Leadership and other entities to ensure consistency period over period and across entities. Providing data and analytic support where the tools being used are part of an external vendor offering (Engagement, Compensation, etc.)
  • Dashboard Development in Tableau (similar tool experiece acceptable).  This responsibility will incorporate all levels of an agile development process from requirements, prototyping, access provisioning and training.  Strategic Report Development where appropriate to support the analytics strategy.
  • Promote analytic education among HRBPs and COEs through training materials, OLT, and ILT courses. Produce analytic tool tip content for all Tableau dashboards so users are able to gain the analytic help they need directly within the analytic tools we provide.
  • Develop standard for all analytics (calculations, usage, etc.). Publish standards on HROne (Goodyear Internal HR Website). Global Governance of all changes to standards.
  • Working as part of a Global team to help support various tasks not specific to analytics but contribute to the overall success of the Talent Systems and Associate Insights team.

 

Required Experience and Education:

  • Bachelors’ in Business, Accounting/Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent education
  • Masters’ in Mathematics, Statistics, or related discipline preferred
  • 6+ years’ proven analytical experience in Finance, HR, or related field,
  • Experience working with Senior Leaders (Director / VP or higher) to produce analytics in support of decision making, Experience working with HR, Talent Management data and analytics desired.

  • Understand and is comfortable working with various systems and types of data
  • Proficient in SQL & Excel (Data Comparison Tools). Proficient PowerPoint capabilities
