Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain expertise of government labor regulations and Goodyear policy. Ensure fair and equitable implementation of these rules and regulations that help to build a trustful relationship with all associates to support engagement and the common goal of success for the organization. 
Acts as a neutral party to monitor and report individual and plant concerns. Spend time daily on the production floor. Advises managers and team members of all Human Resources policies and systems.
Develop the image of management by assisting managers in their relationships and applications of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and HR policies.
Assists in the development and deployment of plant / Business Center communications. This may include writing articles, seeking information from outside sources performing any research necessary. Keep current on business statistics for the plant and participate in improvement projects. Acts as consultant to the management team in the Business Center on people, social, and organizational issues.
Report on the effectiveness of plant programs, team meetings, task forces, etc. by formulating, conducting and evaluating employee relations audits.


Education and Certification:

Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.

Desired: Degree in HR Discipline; Advanced degree; or Human Resources Management certification, preferred

 

Experience:

Minimum 3 years of HR experience responsible for a combination of talent acquisition, performance management, compensation administration, succession planning, employee relations, etc.
Must have a working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including compensation practices, organizational design, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Thorough knowledge of human resources functions and the overall company structure.
Knowledge of in-plant policies including: Plant HR systems (for union-free) or Collective Bargaining Agreements (for unionized facilities), Goodyear policies; company benefit programs; and government labor legislation.
Excellent interpersonal skills with solid verbal and written communication abilities.

Excel Proficient.
Solid research and analytical skills.
Self-motivated individual with strong time management and organizational skills.
Must maintain confidentiality for all sensitive information. 
Knowledge of union and/or non-union environments.
