Goodyear is offering a unique internship opportunity for someone who has a strong interest in pursuing a career in global Human Resources, allowing you to test your abilities and further explore your career interests. Not only does an internship provide you with a first-hand look and experience inside the Goodyear organization, but it also gives Goodyear an opportunity to further develop your skills in this field of study.


This two summer (2019 and 2020) 12 week rotational program will give you cross-functional exposure within the organization, allowing you to gain experience on both corporate and functional HR teams including: Corporate Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation and Total Rewards.


Closely working with an HR Manager or Center of Expertise Leader, you will be an active member of the team and will be responsible for a variety of projects designed to be completed and delivered by the end of the assignment. These projects are intended to provide you with operational experience as well as an overview in the particular HR function.


You will gain knowledge of and interact with Human Resources and other business professionals throughout the internship. In addition, you will be exposed to Goodyear’s global organization through informal meetings with members of Human Resources and other functions.


The ideal candidate will have a passion for Human Resources and the long-term desire to help drive Goodyear’s high performance organization.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Rising juniors actively pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, Organizational Development, Labor Relations or other related fields.
  • Successful candidates should have at least a 3.0 GPA.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication, analytical, relationship building and teamwork skills required.
  • Prior hands-on work experience in Human Resources is desired.
  • Capable of interacting with all organization levels; ranging from entry level Associates to Goodyear's Senior Leadership Management team with an ability to thrive in a team environment.
  • Value and appreciate diversity.
  • Demonstrated leadership and growth potential.
