Primary Purpose of Position:

  • This Human Resources business partner position will drive world class HR strategies, systems, and processes around staffing, employee relations, training, and organizational development while maintaining positive associate relations and strong engagement.  This position will support achievement of Finance / IT organization goals by proactively partnering with leadership teams to address business needs.  This position will focus on direct support of the Americas Finance organization (Vice Presidents of Finance for North America and Latin America and their leadership teams), subject to change by the Company.
  • This position will collaborate with various levels and areas of the Finance / IT organizations to drive key Human Resource and business initiatives focusing on Talent, Leadership, Organization, and Culture.  In addition, this role will have responsibilities around engagement, employee relations, performance management, development planning, merit planning, staffing, and training.
  • As a member of the Corporate Functions HR team and reporting to the Senior Director, HR Corporate Functions, this position will collaborate directly with the HR Manager, Global Finance and HR Manager, Global IT to ensure alignment on HR and company processes and programs in support of the Finance organization's drive to become a high-performance organization.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • HR Business Partner for assigned client group - lead recruitment, talent management, talent development, performance management, succession planning and other key HR activities as required.  Partner with in-region HR managers and COE representatives to drive corporate programs, ensuring alignment through frequent communication and process improvement.
  • Interface with the global leadership team and local leadership teams to develop sound HR processes/systems and ensure that the same is performed and implemented in One Goodyear Way.  Partner with the HR Manager, Global Finance and HR Manager, Global IT to ensure alignment on matters where matrix reporting relationships exist between the Americas and Corporate for associates and managers.
  • Drive strategic staffing and people moves through proactive workforce planning and iterative succession discussions. Establish and maintain healthy selection and onboarding processes.
  • Clarify organizational needs and translate them into appropriate HR actions and solutions by leveraging best-practices and internal/external benchmarking.
  • Engage as the subject matter expert on key corporate deployments and projects, as assigned, for the members of the Corporate Functions HR team with the purpose of driving consistency, improvement, and efficiency in communication, process, approach, and outcomes.  Partner with the HR Manager, Global Finance, HR Manager Global IT, and related HR Specialists to manage the Finance and Accounting Development Program.  

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree HR/business or related field.
  • Master's Degree & PHR/SPHR.
  • 5 years HR experience.
  • 3 years interacting with and supporting leaders of functions or business units.
  • Experience leading projects across organizations/regions.
  • Experience working with several different audiences, communicating efficiently, knowing your audience.
  • Experience investigating, analyzing and solving a myriad of complex associate relations issues.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices (including succession planning, compensation, talent management, performance management, coaching, organizational design), EEO compliance, affirmative action plans.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer and MS Office Suite skills.
