Human Resources Manager - Global Finance

The Human Resources Manager for Global Finance drives the functional Talent agenda by partnering with the leaders and managers of the Global Finance function. The successful candidate will drive world class HR strategies, systems and processes around organizational design, development, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and employee relations.

 

This position will support the Corporate Finance function, collaborating with regional leaders and the regional HR partners to ensure a globally aligned approach to HR initiatives. The focus of the role will be to support the achievement of the Finance organization's people goals.

 

Some of the primary activities will include:

  • Collaborate to develop and implement Talent Management practices, aligning those practices globally
  • Partner with the leaders and managers within the client group to ensure people practices and processes align with the needs of the team and are executed in a consistent manner
  • Drive the Corporate Finance talent management and development strategy, organizational effectiveness, talent assessment / selection, and any employee relations management

 

Job Functions

  • This role is the HR Business Partner to members of the Corporate Finance leadership team, other Finance functional leaders and managers within the Corporate Finance organziation. 
  • This position shall be the trusted advisor, councelor, business partner, and solution driver to the leaders in the Finance function.
  • Using well-developed listening and coaching skills, discover the best solutions and partner to drive a well-thought out plan.
  • Working collaboratively with the COEs and other specialist areas of HR, build organizational capability to meet the current and future needs of the business.
  • Utilize data from talent reviews and other sources to assess and address functional talent development needs, including succession planning, talent acquisition, organization design, diversity, retention and tracking of talent development actions.
  • Develop programs and processes to assess and address these areas which would include change management and after action review. 
  • Complete organization & talent reviews for assigned function to identify individual and organizational strengths, development needs and action plans.
  • This will include directly collaborating across all regions to ensure alignment at the intersections and building truly global talent plans for executive level roles in Finance and maintaining exposure and pipeline under that level.
  • Specifically, this role will manage the global talent pipeline- identifying career plans, successors for key roles, creating talent segmentation, etc for the function on a global basis.
  • Manage the Global Expat process for Finance, including immigration activities and managing the succession related to Expat moves.
  • Lead & direct all day-to-day HR activities and core HR processes & programs for associates & managers within the client groups.
  • This includes leading the development & execution of all HR core processes not elsewhere mentioned, including job grading, capability mapping, job descriptions & compensation planning, excutive compensation planning, coaching clients on HR legal compliance and ensuring compliance with all legislation & Goodyear HR policies, performance management, other types of organizational development not covered in other primary duties, workforce planning & staffing.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business related field
  • Seven (7) or more years of Human Resource experience
  • Two (2) or more years of experience interacting with and supporting leaders of functions
  • Experience working globally
  • Experence working in (and thriving in) a high paced environment working on activities ranging from strategic to tactical
  • Ability to influence/coach leaders (at all levels of the organization) in decision making and commitment to action, while improving organizational effectiveness

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • SPHR Certification

 

Knowledge/Skills

  • Knowledge of core HR processes: compliance, compensation, training, OD, recruiting & staffing, etc.
  • Ability to communicate clearly & effectively with people at all levels and environments
  • Ability to work collabortively within the client group and the HR community
  • Ability to develop, lead & implement projects of varying scope
  • Excellent listening, communication & presentation skills
