Item Level Planner Staff- Import/Export

Primary Purpose of Position:

Develop short term production requirements according to level design and inventory targets to optimize manufacturing capabilities.  Communicate impacts of production and/or demand changes.  Ensure customer service requirements are met/exceed through supply availability while limiting past dues and backorders.  Monitors inventory levels & identifies excess & slow-moving inventory & take appropriate action to assure inventory objectives are achieved.  Super user to set rate & parameters for the manufacturing of products (systems configuration). Lead/contribute to cross functional/cross supply chain projects while training and mentoring less experienced planners on process and system technology.  Coordinate’s deployment – factory to LC; or DFS & master data accuracy & assures they are continually optimized


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create weekly and monthly plant tickets which adhere to manufacturing constraints and inventory targets.  Lead weekly ticket review meetings between all planners
  • Implement and monitor mold utilization. Request new molds as needed.  
  • Manage and implement level design calculations based on evolving manufacturing constraints and demand
  • Lead team in performing analysis and update tracking reports on plant performance, adherence to ticket and mold utilization
  • Develop an understanding of Standard Work and manage cross functional supply chain projects which lead to improvements to processes and technology.



  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, computer science, supply chain/operations management, or related field



  • 3 years of experience in supply chain, operations management, forecasting, or related fields required or; graduate of the Supply Chain Rotational Program.
  • Experience in multi-plant manufacturing environment preferred.



  • Ability to communicate production plan elements to individuals & plant teams is a succinct fashion.
  • Proficient in Tier 1 ERP systems & technology along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to analyze multiple pieces of data, draw a conclusion & formulate a plan maximizing resources within giving constraints.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapts to ambiguity, embrace change & has a high energy & a strong bias for action.
  • Shares & leverages learning within work team
