Position Description

Functioning as a Java Developer, you will join the BtoC / Business to Consumer Development Team supporting applications to connect our largest clients to Goodyear’s web sites for tire purchasing.  This role will work closely with Business Analysts and Business Stakeholders to provide the development including API’s for connections. Development skills including JAVA, J2EE, Spring, Soap along with the ability to provide integration support of the applications developed.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Development tasks including API’s utilizing required tools taking into account the complex inter-relationships of system-wide components.
• Provide system support working closely with BA’s and Stakeholders. Maintain and modify existing programs and configuration through use of current IT Toolsets (Java, J2EE).
• Troubleshoot, investigate, and develop solutions to problems by applying logic and inference with persistence and experience to see the problem through to resolution. Make joint analysis decisions on cause and correction methods. Perform tasks (as necessary) to ensure data integrity and system stability.

Required Experience and Education:

• Bachelors’ degree  
• In lieu of degree 10 or more years of relevant technical experience.
• 5 + more years of relevant technical experience

• Achieve all IT Objectives through use of approved Standards and Guidelines
