Goodyear's Global Talent COE is seeking a Manager of Leadership Development accountable for planning and managing the design and delivery of leadership development journeys for our global leadership development portfolio. This individual will collaborate closely with our key internal business partners, talent professionals within the COE and other stakeholders to translate business needs into impactful leadership development experiences that develop future leaders in Goodyear's leadership pipelines. This role is accountable for end-end oversight and business outcomes of our key leader programs and other leadership competency-building efforts including the design, development, delivery, analysis, measurement, and maintenance of all new and existing global talent programs to ensure these programs provide clear demonstrated impacts and a positive return on overall performance.

Job Functions

  • Global Leadership Program Planning & Design: The individual will lead efforts to plan and design leadership programs based on Goodyear's leadership competencies and by using data on needs from sources such as development plans and engagement surveys. They will work with internal stakeholders to conceive and scope a set of comprehensive leadership development journeys within these programs that use evidence-based methods to effectively build leadership competencies. The individual in this role will be expected to use a holistic, systems thinking approach to assure programs and other resources form a clear and consistent system of leader development that durably meets the needs of the organization.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: The individual will own relationships with vendors and consultants that assist with development and delivery of leadership development programs or provide related services. They will serve as the vendor's point-of-contact to address questions, resolve issues, and periodically oversee overall performance of contracts. As part of contracting, they will be responsible for scoping services and deliverables and other elements required in compliance with Goodyear procurement guidelines.
  • Global Leadership Program Development & Implementation: The individual will manage projects to build and deliver leader programs. They will lead reviews and other key project activities with multiple stakeholders, including internal subject matter experts (SMEs), vendors and other resources. They will use a disciplined approach to assure program deliverables are delivered within scope, on time, and at the expected level of quality for their audiences. They will be expected to apply agile methods to create and iterate innovative solutions from a "minimum viable product stage" to a final stage. Finally, they will play an active role in a program's execution - observing how it is conducted and helping with talent evaluation.
  • Talent Evaluation & Measurement: In addition to evaluating program efficacy and business impact for continuous improvement, the individual will be responsible for embedding feedback systems and rigorous talent evaluation methods into leadership programs to intentionally gauge the program's impact on individual growth and a program’s broader organizational impact on the strength of the bench and readiness in key leadership pipelines.
  • Client Liaison/Leader Development Consulting: The individual will act a client liaison capacity, addressing ad hoc internal client regional and business needs as they arise. The individual will consult on the leadership development solutions for these opportunities.
