Description          

 

  • Manage a crew of 6-25 hourly maintenance professionals on a 12-hour production shift.  Provide 1st level supervision, leadership and technical guidance in equipment repair, modification and problem solving activities to improve Equipment Reliability Performance.
  • Manage the performance of the maintenance crew to include, parts costs, labor and overtime costs, downtime costs and response rates.

 

Requirements     

 

  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience required; BS in any Engineering discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in production manufacturing process and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Production/Maintenance team structure, operations and requirements.
  • Familiarization with budget/cost management.
  • Demonstrated excellence in establishing/maintaining communications and interpersonal relationships.

     

    Tasks      

  • Provide maintenance knowledge and specialized experience to diagnose and develop solutions to equipment breakdowns.
  • Prioritize and allocate limited maintenance resources, to include personnel, parts and dollars, to achieve the greatest maintenance reliability while meeting production requirements
  • Manage labor and maintenance costs to stay within budget and labor agreement provisions.
  • Provide guidance, direction, instructions and, if needed, corrective discipline, to associates.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise in the areas of maintenance and electronic diagnostics, repair and reliability.
  • Teach, develop and mentor Maintenance Skill Trades associates to provide a greater breadth and depth of 1st echelon maintenance response. 
  • Determine maintenance competency gaps and coordinate resources to overcome the deficiencies.
  • Coordinate with Shift Operations Managers, Business Center Managers, Maintenance team members and other support elements, as required, to meet maintenance requirements while simultaneously supporting Production Needs. 
  • Ensure all team member activities comply with EHS compliance directives.
  • Evaluate and prioritize maintenance activities in conjunction with production requirements.
  • Lead adherence of all procedures, audits, practices, and standard work within the operation.
  • Develop employees and foster a team culture.
  • Promote safety in aspects of every task.
