Primary Purpose of the Position:

Ticket the plant. Assist in developing and leading identification, prioritization, organization and implementation of Improvement Strategies across functional areas within the Plant Planning Systems. Focusing on Goodyear Flow System and Goodyear Operating Systems. Works close with the Material Manager and Plant Team Members to ensure focus is maintained and buy-in is achieved to ensure plants internal needs are met; as well as, External Customers. This individual must be an agent of change by identifying opportunities, waste strategies and tools across the planning structure (including Administrative Processes). Drive and accept change. Assist with leadership responsibility and accountability for Transformational Planning and Ticketing Processes within the facility. Promote and be engaged in implementation of efficient Planning Systems (including Standard Work, Kanban Systems and other Pull/Lean Systems). Engage in high quality analysis of Plant Planning Operations to identify Improvement Initiatives - this includes Sales and Operations (S&OP), Business Processes and Ticket Planning Processes (includes the Supply Chain and Information Flow Connectivity within the processes). Develop and execute systems that continuously improve the movement of product through the facility. To perform and execute all other duties assigned by direct Leadership. Actively participate in meetings in a support role.

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and leading identification, prioritization, organization and implementation of Improvement Strategies across functional areas within the Plant Planning Systems.          
  • Work closely with the Material Manager and Plant Team Members to ensure focus is maintained and buy-in is achieved to ensure the plants internal needs are met; as well as, External Customers.                 
  • Engage in high quality analysis of Plant Planning Operations to identify Improvements Initiatives - This includes S&OP Business Processes, Ticket Planning Processes (includes the Supply Chain and Information Flow Connectivity within the processes).           
  • Develop and execute systems that continuously improve the movement of product through the facility.       
  • Actively participate in meetings in a support role.    

 

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelors degree, required. 
  • Masters degree, desired.

 

Expierence:

  • 2 or more years of experience in Supply Chain/Planning Field.
  • Experience in cross-functional assignment or project work.
  • Knowledge and experience in Supply Chain, Operations Management or related field, preferred. 
  • Plant/Manufacturing experience, preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of elements that make up Supply Chain and the inter-relationship between these elements.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team building, strong communication and business, technical, analytical and planning skills.
  • Production Scheduling and Monitoring Systems (PSMS) or similar system familiarity.
  • Strong computer skills necessary for Plant Scheduling Management.  Intermediate Excel required.
  • Ability to establish priorities, objectives, time limits and goals.
