Marketing Manager - Consumer Experience (CX)- Roll by Goodyear

Akron - OH


Primary Purpose of the Position

Roll by Goodyear is a currently a pilot retail and white-glove tire replacement service with pilot locations in Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia, and has been in-market for ~2.5 years.   The organization has recently decided to accelerate the launch of the brand through a "mobile first" strategy, leveraging the GY mobile network that has been growing as well, which will introduce the Roll brand to over 20 new cities in a matter of months. The team operates like a start-up and continues to experiment with innovative marketing techniques to reach the business goals.  This Marketing Manager will lead the consumer interface with our guests, working to bring the brand to life in differentiated and "unexpected" ways that delight our guests. They will lead help lead the thinking on the role of future touchpoints in the business model such as brick and mortar/physical locations, and will partner with the Brand Manager on how we evolve Roll into a purpose led brand.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the development of all marketing materials that relate to the consumer experience. This would include but not be limited to creating value out of the downtime of the van drivers, establishing a vision for how each install becomes a unique, shareable moment that drives talk value for the brand, and identifying and creating marketing touchpoints that make the entire Roll experience superior. He/she will work directly with the agency partners, operations teams, and marketing teams.
  • Understand what best in class CX looks like, and look for ways to elevate the consumer experience for Roll going forward. This will include but not be limited to the future role of brick and mortar (or other retail activations) and working to turn Roll into a purpose led brand.
  • Work directly with creative Agencies and other core Communication Functions to lead the development of marketing touchpoints (based on insight and brand positioning).
  • Set objectives for the annual Business Planning Process (including identification of consumer/market opportunities, assessment/development of strategies/tactics).
  • Creatively identify opportunity areas for growth by effectively using consumption data, market research and competitive intelligence.


Education & Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field



  • 5 or more years of experience in Brand Marketing; Ideally with some experience in Consumer Experience/Retail Marketing 
  • Experience in a traditional Brand Marketing role is a plus
  • Experience leading the execution of Marketing Plans, managing Budgets and managing Agency relationships
