As a Pricing Analyst, you will support the Pricing Manager in developing and executing category-level price strategies to optimize profitability and competitiveness in the market. Your role involves conducting pricing analysis, monitoring competitor pricing, and assisting in the evaluation of market trends to inform pricing decisions. Additionally, you will contribute to the development and analysis of promotional calendars and assist in the management of pricing databases and systems.

Primary Job Functions

Analysis:
Pricing Analysis: Conduct detailed pricing analysis to assess the effectiveness of current pricing strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
Market Trend Analysis: Analyze market trends and customer behaviors to identify pricing opportunities and threats, and provide recommendations accordingly.
Support in Promotional Calendar Development: Assist in the development of promotional calendars by providing pricing insights and recommendations based on analysis.

Pricing Evaluation and Maintenance:
Assist in Software Evaluation: Support the Pricing Manager in evaluating new software solutions to enhance pricing processes and tools.

Pricing Database Management: Assist in the management and maintenance of pricing databases and systems to ensure accuracy and reliability of pricing information.
Competitor Pricing Monitoring: Monitor competitor pricing trends and provide insights to the Pricing Manager for adjustments to maintain competitiveness.

Monitoring:
Performance Tracking: Support in establishing performance benchmarks and tracking metrics to measure the effectiveness of pricing strategies and promotional activities.
Support in Promotional Calendar Development: Assist in the development of promotional calendars by providing pricing insights and recommendations based on analysis.

Documentation and Reporting:

Prepare reports and presentations to communicate pricing analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

On-demand Analysis:

Provided as required to bolster business endeavors.

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Statistics or related field.
• 3-5 years experience in pricing analysis or related field is preferred.
• Market Knowledge: have a deep understanding of the markets in which Goodyear Retail operates, including knowledge of competitors, customer segments, industry trends, and economic factors that may impact pricing decisions.
• Industry Expertise: Experience within the specific industry or sector is valuable for pricing analysts to understand industry dynamics, pricing norms, and regulatory considerations that may affect pricing strategy.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

• Masters Degree
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel or other data analysis tools.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with pricing software and tools is a plus.
• Knowledge of retail or consumer goods industry is beneficial.
• Eagerness to learn and develop skills in pricing strategy.
