Production Planning Associate 1

About the Position

Develop short term production requirements according to level design and inventory targets to optimize manufacturing capabilities.  Communicate impacts of production and/or demand changes. Ensure customer service requirements are met / exceeded through supply availability while limiting past dues and backorders.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Create weekly and monthly plant tickets which adhere to manufacturing constraints and inventory targets.
  • Maintain level design calculations based on evolving manufacturing constraints and demand.
  • Monitor mold utilization rates and request new molds as needed.
  • Perform analysis and update tracking reports on plant performance and adherence to ticket.
  • Understand and demonstrate Standard Work, while contributing to its improvement. Contribute to cross-functional supply chain projects.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, economics, engineering, computer science, supply chain/operations management, or related field required.
  • Advanced Degree / APICS certification preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in supply chain, operations management, forecasting, or related fields.


Skills and Abilities

  • Able to communicate production plan elements to individuals & plant teams in a sufficient fashion.
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapts to ambiguity & embrace change.
  • Shares & leverages learning's within teams.
  • Proficient on Tier 1 ERP systems & technology along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
