About the Position

The Application Developer/ Software Developer is a well-seasoned Information Technology professional, able to apply system-wide responsibility to complex components of a project. Working with technologies such as; Azure, C# Javascript, CSS, VB.Net, CSS, Visual Studio,  the Application Developer will work according to SDLC development practices from requirements gathering through to deployment. This individual will often participate & contribute to the actual detail work of the specification. Functioning in a mentor role for junior level developers is key to the success of the development efforts for the team.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze, design and develop new processes, programs and configuration taking into account the complex interrelationships of system-wide components.   
  • Provide system-wide support and maintenance for a complex system or business process. Maintain and modify existing processes, programs and configuration through use of current information technology toolsets.  
  • Troubleshoot, investigate and persist. Develop solutions to problems with unknown causes where precedents do not exist, by applying logic and inference with persistence and experience to see the problem through to resolution. Confer with the stakeholder community on problem determination. Make joint analysis decisions on cause and correction methods. Perform tasks as necessary to ensure data integrity and system stability.     
  • Complete life-cycle testing (unit and integration) of all work processes` including cross platform interaction.   
  • Create applications and database with main focus on data collection systems to support Analysis, Data Capture, Design Tools, Library functions, Reporting, Request systems and Spec Systems used in tire development process.      


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, MIS or related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in applying current information technology such as; Azure, C# Javascript, CSS, VB.Net, CSS, Visual Studio, to specific areas of the business
  • Experience in a manufacturing
