About The position:

 

Responsible for the analysis, implementation and administration of competitive compensation programs that are innovative, compliant, cost effective and support the organization's philosophy and its' strategic plan. Responsible to ensure that all compensation policies are in compliance with governmental laws and regulations.  Advise both global and local management and HR leaders in the design, implementation and maintenance of the company's global compensation programs aimed at attracting, retaining and motivating top talent, all while in accordance with corporate and SBUs' strategic objectives.    

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Consulting with Global, Corporate and SBU management in areas of compensation administration. Consult with all levels of management to resolve compensation issues and provide recommendations impacting associates.  Review/approve pay increase exceptions. 

  • The SuccessFactors Compensation Module is the global merit planning system used for over 65 countries.  Act as the Project Team Lead for the SuccessFactors Compensation Module for the annual Merit Planning Cycle.  This includes being the lead member of the Core Team which is responsible for all configuration changes, oversee and coordinate system testing and define and redesign process and workflow. Leads the Core Team with over 85 associates from around the world.   In addition, analyze and determine merit costing with each merit cycle, including gathering data from regions to complete the merit effectiveness studies and reconciling with the SF Comp Module.   

  • Determine appropriate salary grade level through analysis of comparative internal positions and competitive market survey data.  Insure internal equity.  Initiate structural reviews where data suggests revisions may be necessary.  Assure competitive pay position by participating in major compensation surveys and performing analysis of turnaround survey data.  Make recommendations, consult with appropriate management and secure approvals.     

  • Active role for Project Synergy, in the creation and development of the next Global HCM.  Work to define and link Goodyear Jobs to the Korn Ferry Talent Job Architecture of core jobs.  Work closely with HRIS to map all associates into the Korn Ferry catalogue of jobs, as well as to work in support of HRIS in the configuration of Compensation in the Global HCM.  

  • Responsible for job evaluation, using the Mercer International Position (IPE) evaluation methodology.  Serve as an active member of the Global Job Evaluation Committee, responsible to evaluate Executive level position globally.  Responsible to evaluate regional E08 and below roles, in addition determine exemption status of positions as required under FLSA.  Seek legal counsel when necessary. 

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, IT, Finance or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products, heavy user of Excel. 

  • Experience with SuccessFactors Talent Modules desired.

  • Working knowledge of the organizational structures as well as basic knowledge of manufacturing plants.  

  • Working knowledge of SharePoint administration.

  • Experience with Workday and SAP/HR and ability to query systems to extract information desired.
