The Senior Director Global Benefits will drive the organization's global benefits strategy (includes leading the design, implementation, communication and administration of the benefits programs that are aligned with business objectives). This role is the primary support for the Americas region, but also includes global responsibility for all benefit programs in terms of philosophy, strategy, governance and compliance.

 

This role will analyze Goodyear’s benefit programs on an on-going basis relative to market position, internal equity, compliance and union negotiations and will serve as the  key benefits advisor to senior leaders globally.

 

The Senior Director Global Benefits  will develop supportive communication programs ensuring that management and human resources acquire a thorough understanding of sound benefits practices/programs. This leader will analyze/review outside benefits programs to ensure competitive market positioning, as well as market-aligned policies and administration in addition to managing policies/plans to ensure consistency with administration practices.

 

Job Duties / Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 

In partnership with VPTotal Rewards and business leaders, translate business strategy into scalable and meaningful benefits strategies that are effective in attracting, rewarding, and retaining key talent.
Define, develop, and communicate the benefits philosophy, vision, and strategy to support short- and long-term goals.
Lead the design, implementation, administration and governance of all benefits programs globally.
Provides exceptional customer service with solution-oriented mindset.
Collaborate with HR on various compensation topics, including preparation of individual associate benefits.
Utilize market-based benefits data to build creative solutions, ensuring that Goodyear retains a competitive benefits position in the marketplace.
Lead, develop, and coach benefits team to design, deliver and sustain global solutions.
Manage the benefit team and the day-to-day planning/implementation of administrative processes, team development, and succession planning.

 

KEY EXPERIENCE

 

Bachelors Degree is required; Masters Degree is preferred
10 or more years of experience in Benefits and Compensation in a large organization
Broad business / functional experience working in multiple businesses/functions/roles, both with direct & indirect authority
Breadth of roles include setting global strategy and driving operational execution/results; including experience with union negotiations and building business cases
Strong experience with benchmarking benefit policies/practices
Strong external network to gather and exchange ideas/information and act as a sounding board for new and/or innovative ideas
General compensation experience
Excellent organizational skills and ability
