Reporting to the Vice President Talent Acquisition and Human Resource Operations, the Head of Talent Acquisition Americas and Global Functions will provide strategic/operational support (including coordination of global Talent Acquisition [TA] projects/requirements) to the Americas, Global Operations and Technology (GOT) and Corporate Functions strategic business units (SBUs). This position will also lead/support a team of Talent Partners/Recruiters (includes University Relations, Early Talent and High Volume) - Motivating them to drive results.

The incumbent will manage the global TA budget (coordinating with the other 2 regional TA Senior Managers) and own the consolidation/global reporting to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition and Human Resource Operations. He/She is responsible for negotiating vendor contracts, leading global projects and analyzing recruiting trends - Providing expert solutions in the quest to find top talent. This associate will build strong partnerships with senior leaders (and their respective teams) to provide a proactive approach to recruitment and achieve talent objectives.


The responsibilities of the Head of Talent Acquisition Americas and Global Functions will include, but not be limited to the following:


  • Budgets and Contracts - Manage the global TA budget. Interface with Finance and TA Regional Leaders to publish information. Responsible for vendor contract negotiation (i.e. LinkedIn, Indeed, PeopleScout). Partner with Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) team for recruitment outreach efforts/contracts.
  • Councils - Own/manage operating councils for early talent, D&I and recruiting excellence. These councils will meet monthly and include all of the Early Talent Specialists (from each of the verticals) within the new Americas TA restructure. Each council will define the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and act as a counterbalance to the business focused vertical teams. Additionally, this Senior Manager will create governance/metric scorecards to measure each of these horizontal recruiting areas so that variation/performance can easily be tracked in each vertical.  Represent Goodyear at key external recruiting events (as appropriate).
  • Project Management - Lead/Coordinate global TA projects. Influence and gain commitment on new initiatives to drive greater business impact. 
  • Recruiting Excellence - Manage a team of TA Partners (this is a new role that will manage the Recruiters). Accountable for building a high-performance based client-focused culture - Aligning recruiting practices, driving continuous improvement, optimizing performance (with on-going coaching) and building capabilities.
  • Create a learning agenda/plan for Americas TA and develop career pathing/competencies for team leaders. Conduct lunch and learn sessions to support on-going development.
  • Data and Analysis - Analyze data/external trends to design best-in-class recruitment strategies/programs. Oversee/Provide guidance on the design/development of recruiting data/analytics (key performance indicators [KPIs], return on investment [ROI] strategies, etc.) as the TA representative with the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) team.


Professional Experience & Competencies:


  • 10 or more years of experience working in professional positions - With at least 3 or more years of experience working directly in a Talent Acquisition function
  • Broad/Professional staffing experience with 5 or more years of experience working in Human Resources
  • Experience leading teams (experience leading managers - Desired)
  • Ability to present complex ideas to senior leaders and manage multiple stakeholders
  • Experience managing large-scale strategic/operational projects (global or multi-state) with significant reach/impact (multiple locations/groups within a country)
  • Interpersonal Savvy and Self-Awareness: Relates well with others, considers/responds appropriately to the needs/feelings/capabilities of different people in different situations, is tactful/compassionate/sensitive
  • Results Driven Self-Starter: Takes initiative and consistently delivers results of the highest quality, personally/through his/her staff takes accountability for one’s work, has a sense of urgency, overcomes hurdles and ensures that results are delivered
  • Business Savvy and Agility: Learns business quickly and is able to adapt in order to support business needs effectively  




  • Bachelor’s Degree is required
  • Master’s Degree is preferred
