About the Position

 

The Shopper Marketing Assistant will focus on helping Goodyear grow our share of volume and profitability with our most aligned retailer customers, including Walmart, Sam’s Club and Discount Tire.

This associate will be asked to provide tactical support for consumer-facing marketing campaigns, to assist with the development of strategic retailer marketing programs, and to help manage the day-to-day deliverables of a variety of marketing initiatives.

Partner with the Shopper Marketing Managers to develop and implement Walmart and Sam’s Club, Discount Tire, Pep Boys, Monro, etc.  shopper marketing programs

- Lead marketing projects from brief initiation through project recap, working collaboratively with internal cross-functional teams and agency & vendor partners

- Own cross-functional bi-weekly status meetings, and maintain marketing status reports, timelines and budget tracking documents

- Manage external vendor relationships

- Complete program scorecards and share out program results

-Lead the development and project management of key customer trade shows, working jointly with channel teams and shopper marketing managers, and attending trade shows as needed

- Provide tactical marketing support for emerging customers, including large regional retailers

- Maintain and distribute our holistic campaign insights document, tracking KPIs across customers and campaigns to develop benchmarks and ensure insights are applied to future projects

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Key Customer Programs
    • Development, execution, budget management and measurement of key customer programming.    Internal selling to Channel teams, external customer facing interaction.  Agency oversight and completion of deliverables including trade shows.
  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 Customer Programming including Dealer Channel and Company Owned
    • Development, execution, budget management and measurement of key customer programming.    Internal selling to Channel teams, external customer facing interaction.  Agency oversight and completion of deliverables including trade shows.
  • Tactical support for Emerging Customers
    • Development, execution, budget management and measurement of key customer programming.    Internal selling to Channel teams, external customer facing interaction.  Agency oversight and completion of deliverables.
  • Tracking, Measurement, and Reporting of all key account programs

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Communications and/or Marketing
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in an advertising or marketing role
  • Agency or vendor management experience
  • CPG marketing experience preferred
  • Direct to consumer marketing experience preferred
  • Shopper marketing experience preferred

 

Desired Skills and Abilities

  • Strong project management, communication, budgeting, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks daily
  • Understand a broad-range of marketing vehicles (digital/social media, point-of-sale, promotions, sales materials, etc.) and the strategic application of all
  • Current knowledge of industry, retailer, shopper and consumer trends and application of insights
