Primary Purpose
In close collaboration with the Global Social Media and Global Marketing teams (including internal and external creative resources), the Social Media Manager is responsible for the strategy and execution of all content/community management interactions across all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.) for multiple Goodyear brands. This individual is charged with understanding social media channel and management platform (e.g., Sprinklr) best practices, as well as consumer/content preferences, behaviors, and pain points unique to each channel.

 

The incumbent will demonstrate a clear ability to develop social media content and publishing strategies to champion a social-first creative approach rooted in consumer/audience insights and channel best practices. This associate will work cohesively with the broader Global Social Media team to ensure a consistent flow of content that is both globally relevant for Goodyear and its brands, as well as locally relevant to each social media channel's audience. This role will manage follower communities to mine for opportunities to engage, plus send customer care concerns through a community management workflow. 

 

This individual will work closely with Goodyear's Global Paid Media team and agency to ensure paid media strategies and content are consistent with organic social media. This position will work collaboratively with the Influencer Relations team and agency to execute local or brand-specific influencer activations in line with Goodyear's global influencer strategy/guidelines. 

 

It is essential for this associate to be agile/swift to create and execute engaging social media content that reflects both the unique voice of each social channel and Goodyear brand, while complementing Goodyear's overarching brand strategy.     

 

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with internal/external creative resources and global/local stakeholders to execute a continuous flow of highly engaging social content across a mix of social platforms for multiple Goodyear brands. Use consumer insights and post-performance to guide an overarching social media content and publishing strategy.  
  • Execute local or brand-specific influencer activations in line with Goodyear's global influencer strategy and guidelines.
  • Work with Goodyear's Global Paid Media team to ensure paid and social media strategies/content are cohesive. 

 


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • 8 or more years of experience working in social media management at either a corporation or agency
  • Extensive experience with professional use of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams, manage projects independently, and serve as the arbiter of content standards for dedicated channels
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and act quickly/with agility to capitalize on social media trends that produce a continuous flow of content

 

 

Desired Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience in executing influencer activations
  • Experience in setting social media content strategies and executing against them with social-first, highly engaging content
  • Knowledge of social media platforms plus their unique content requirements, consumer preferences, and pain points
  • Knowledge of the current social media landscape, trends, and consumer behaviors 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
