Primary Purpose
The Social Media Senior Specialist - Goodyear Blimp will build on existing strategy and momentum to continuously deliver creative, unique content to maximize reach, engagement, and social media value. This is a unique opportunity to embody the voice of the Goodyear Blimp on social media.
With a focus on creative ideation and copywriting, the incumbent will work in close collaboration with internal and external creative resources to develop/execute all content and community management interactions across all social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X) and emerging channels (TikTok, Threads) for the Goodyear Blimp. This individual is charged with understanding social media management platform (e.g., Sprinklr) best practices, as well as consumer/content preferences, behaviors, and pain points unique to each platform. The role requires a deep knowledge of social media metrics, consistent measurement and reporting, and ability to analyze/interpret results to refine strategy.
The associate will demonstrate a clear ability to develop social media content and publishing strategies that champion a social-first creative approach rooted in consumer/audience insights and channel best practices. This position will work cohesively with the broader Global Social Media team to ensure relevant Blimp content is shared and amplified globally. This role will manage follower communities to mine for engagement/surprise and delight opportunities and send product/customer care concerns through a community management workflow (as needed). This associate will work closely with the Influencer Relations team to integrate and amplify Blimp-related influencer activations through relevant social channels.
The ability to be agile and act with speed to create/execute share-worthy/trending social media content that reflects both the unique voice of each social channel and Goodyear Blimp, while complementing Goodyear's overarching brand strategy, will be essential to the success of this role.
Responsibilities
- Continuously ideate, draft, and publish creative/engaging social content across a mix of platforms for the Goodyear Blimp. Work collaboratively with internal and external creative resources to build brand affinity, increase the Blimp's cultural relevance, and connect with new audiences. Use consumer insights and post-performance to guide an overarching social media content and publishing strategy.
- Execute timely community management by responding to consumer comments, direct messages (DMs), mentions, and tags with fun/engaging interactions.
- Amplify Blimp-related influencer activations on social media channels.
- Continuously monitor and analyze of social media metrics. Interpret insights, conduct monthly reporting, and evolve strategy (as needed).
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
- 3 or more years of experience working in social media management at either a corporation or agency
- Extensive experience with professional use of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and social media management tools (e.g., Sprinklr, Hootsuite)
- Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and reporting social metrics
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and act quickly to capitalize on social media trends while producing a continuous flow of content
Desired Knowledge and Skills
- Experience in setting social media content strategies and executing against them with social-first, highly engaging content
- Deep expertise in content creation, from creative ideation to copywriting to development
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and manage projects independently
- Knowledge of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, Threads, CapCut, etc.) and their unique content requirements, consumer preferences, and pain points
- Knowledge of the current social media landscape, trends, and consumer behaviors
- Experience planning and overseeing photo and video shoots
- Experience in executing influencer activations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools
