About the Position

Manage business process outsourced vendor arrangement for US retirement benefit administration and delivery.


Plan, organize and direct initiatives to maintain competitive benefits at a reasonable cost.


Ensure legal compliance with various SOX requirements and benefit processes.


Act as Fiduciary position for retirement benefit programs.


Serve as subject matter expert for US retirement benefit plan offerings as well as ongoing market intelligence.


Primary Responsibilities

  • Accountable for operational management and client relationship of BPO arrangement, including Plan design adherence, Plan funding reconciliation, annual compliance testing/financial auditing and participant data management.
  • Continually evaluate retirement benefit processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.  Research and resolve associate issues as needed.
  • Manage applicable communications processes in collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders. Ensure GT communication processes are consistently used and that communications, legally required and general purpose, are timely and effective.
  • Provide ad hoc advice and counsel to business, vendors, colleagues and employees based on interpretation and application of plan language, summary plan descriptions and union contracts.
  • Responsible for managing the development and ongoing updates for all retirement Plan Documents, SPD’s, union contracts and other required plan related materials.


Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree or above desired.
  • 5 years' experience in HR/Finance with previous experience in a benefits planning, benefits administration or benefits finance capacity.
  • Prior experience in a union manufacturing environment is preferred.


Skills and Abilities

  • Strong management, analytical, planning & communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a variety of concurrent projects.
