Vendor Management Lead

About the Position

The primary focus for the Vendor Manager / Lead will be to manage all vendor relationships and negotiations for the print landscape for Goodyear globally. This includes, but is not limited to, managing vendor contracts, negotiations, and setting the strategic direction for both managed print services and print shops across or Global footprint. This individual is expected to drive strategy, as well as manage and optimize technologies. The individual will also work with regional workplace technology associates to coordinate service delivery and provide an escalation path.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage global print vendor contracts, negotiations, and day-to-day activities
  • Maintain and update global print landscape documentation
  • Advise and assist regional Workplace Technology teams
  • Lead global and regional print projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams
  • Investigate new technologies and possible applications to the Goodyear environment
  • Provide technical coverage for print systems

 

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelors’ degree in MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, Technology, Business Administration or in lieu of degree 7 years of IT experience.
  • 2 years of IT experience or graduate of Goodyear’s ITDP 2 year program with 1 year outside work experience.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Can convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current Microsoft products (especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint),
  • Understanding of business acumen and the organization.
  • Ability to apply different strategies to convince others to change their opinion or plan.
