EHS Manager (Environmental, Health & Safety Manager)

Primary Purpose:
Lead and manage Occupational Safety and Health area with the goal of "“zero SI” (Serious Injuries)" and the fulfillment of the company objectives and all applicable laws.
Lead PEC pillar and support all PO strategies and activities.
Develop and implement Environmental, Health and Safety / PEC strategies to support the objectives of the LA region.
Full compliance in environmental, health and safety matter according Goodyear policies and local law.
 

Main Responsibilities:

• Implement the strategies established in Environmental, Health and Safety processes to achieve objectives
• Compliance with applicable Environmental, Health and Safety local laws, with the appropriate documentation and certifications. 
• Execute Plant Optimization. Lead PEC/EHS pillar and support subcommittees (Manufacturing and execution system or TPM)
• Maintain of ISO 45001 certification and any other audit/certification requirement related to safety. 
• Coordinate with regional and global team PEC/EHS Committees
• Facilitate the necessary tools to develop Environmental, Health and Safety / PEC/EHS activities
• Manage environmental, health and safety annual training
• Sustain and Improve safety culture in plants and administrative areas.
• Responsible for the Environmental and Safety Management System (SGI). Supports: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF16949

Education and Certifications
Required:
Graduate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemistry, Mechanic, Electric, Mechatronics, Electronic,  Safety and Hygiene)

Knowledge of ISO9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF16949
Fluent in English
 

Desired:
Postgraduate studies on Safety and Hygiene.
Knowledge in Environmental, Health & Safety local regulations
 

Experience
Required:
A minimum of 8 years of proven experience in safety, industrial hygiene processes ( mandatory), and/or environmental processes (desirable) in industrial processes.

Desired:
Experience working in plants with labor unions

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Required:
Leadership, teamwork, excellent relationship, effective communicator, and ability on effective presentations. Technical knowledge of engineering and mechanical principles,  OSHAS, etc.
Leading projects
 

Desired:
Certification as Auditor of management systems on Safety and Environment
Labor Legislation regarding to Health and Safety
