About the Position 
This entry-level role involves learning and applying Goodyear’s established tools, processes, and systems in a team environment. The position is essential for ensuring the creation of high-quality tire products that meet customer requirements and align with Goodyear’s standards.

Location: Americana Plant, São Paulo, Brazil

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Learn to develop innovative new tire products using geometric and computational tools as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Document and communicate development activities via reports and presentations.
  • Design, execute, and analyze experiments (DOE) in support of cavity geometry development.
  • Create final molded tire specifications for manufacturing tire molds.
  • Support the evaluation of products, processes, and methods to obtain results.
  • Contribute to the manufacture of quality products and processes.
  • Work in an environment to bring relevant products and technology to market.
  • Obtain required training and skill development for position-specific skills and personal development.

 

Required Education and Experience 

  • Mechanical Engineering degree (or relevant field), required.
  • Basic working knowledge of Catia V5 or similar CAD tool.
  • 0-4 years of experience leading or participating in technical projects and teams. 
    • Understanding of the Goodyear Product Creation Process (PCP) is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency (Power Point, Excel), required. 
  • Fluent in English, required; Portuguese and Spanish preferred.

 

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to identify and solve problems using a logical and scientific approach.
  • Basic comprehension of statistical design and analysis, including cause and effect analysis and risk analysis.
  • Ability to carry out assignments logically using existing technology and standardized methods.
  • Solid organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to initiate and drive projects to completion.
  • Ability to prioritize across multiple projects.
