About the Role:


Function as a key financial support for the Commercial Business, providing quality reporting and analysis leading to correct strategic and tactical Commercial Business decisions.

Act as a business partner and drive the development of new business models, sales channels by building Financial Strategic insight that help drive the Business strategy in the Benelux.

Work in close cooperation with Sales & Marketing team and cross functionally to deliver results.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Finance activities and consolidation of core financial processes within Commercial PBU
  • Contribute fully to the development of local strategy across all areas of the PBU business, challenging assumptions and decision-making as appropriate, providing transparency in results and estimates and guidance on all activities (plans, targets and business drivers)
  • Be an integrated contributor in key business processes, such as Annual Operating Plans, forecasting activities, assessing financial Risk management and governance.
  • Provide input for the monthly accounting close for the Commercial Business and maintain a solid internal control environment and financial reporting integrity within the Commercial Business. Drive timely and accurate management reporting.
  • Provide key support to other local stakeholders by providing ad-hoc reporting as required, financial studies and analysis related to volume/mix, pricing, cash initiatives, segment profitability and capital expenditure to enable the best business decisions.
  • Understand and be able to summarize and communicate clearly the financial and operating results (which includes Volume/Price/Mix analysis, sales operations, manufacturing cost, other COGS, and SAG expenses) of the Commercial Business unit in order to measure progress against business objectives.
  • Coordinate with shared service centers on 18 Month Rolling Forecast & monthly closing activities.
  • Coach Middle office and back office (shared service centers) associates to ensure quality first level analytics and to facilitate Continuous improvement to ensure efficiency of Financial process & systems.
  • Challenging force providing 1st class analysis such Customer and channel-based profitability, re (connect the Connected Business Model to the Financial planning with active partnering with Business Team to strengthen the business & deliver results.



  • A graduate degree with a concentration in a Commercial Business-related field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc.) is required as a minimum.
  • Minimum 5-8 years of progressively more responsible experience in financial planning & analysis or finance accounting, ideally at a large, global, manufacturing company.
  • Fluent in Dutch & English (verbal and written), Knowledge of French is a plus
  • Strong leadership skill - Courage to present and recommend/make difficult decisions to the country/cluster/PBUs team.

    • Create team atmosphere while achieving key objectives. Ability to drive process change and continuous improvement from within and outside of finance functions.

    • Able to interface seamlessly with the PBU leadership.


  • Strong business acumen with broad base of financial knowledge with a balanced commercial mindset.
  • Strong IT skills and working experience with finance IT systems from a detailed to a consolidated perspective, including the usage of Excel and the familiarity with SAP/Hyperion or ERP system.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex data and issues.
  • Proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who can work independently and as part of a team and who is willing to take responsibility for various projects / processes.
  • Person with strong interpersonal skills who can work effectively in a dynamic environment
